Home Teaching
However today, in my last minute procrastination to prepare a lesson and actually go teach my family, I was given the lesson. And it was of course on the first presidency message. Which was Safety in Counsel.
Ok I have to put this in here because this happened and I couldn't stop laughing about it. I've referred to Ryan and Tyler before but they are the 2 Asian friends of mine in the ward and I guess the fact that they are Asian will always affect me because earlier this week I saw the Ensign for this month for the first time and it had like 3 Asian people all lined up and I'm like "Tubbin! I didn't know they made an Asian Ensign too!" And then Tyler was like "ummm... that's actually the one for this month and it's in English. Not Chinese or anything." So I joked about it for the rest of the day after I'd managed to pull myself off the ground and stop crying from laughing so hard. It might've been so funny just because you had to be there, you know? Or maybe I just have a messed up sense of humor. It was hilarious to me anyways!
But the message talked about the Haun's Mill Massacre which is always a hard hit. When you hear about a mass group of people getting killed, I don't know about you but it has a pretty big impact on my thought process. But I think I scared the kids of my brand new family when I read about that. So i made a mental note ; Don't talk about mass genocides of people in the first home-teaching lesson, especially if small children are around.
But anyway afterwards my home-teaching companion drove me home and i tried to start a conversation but he was just kinda, extra quiet... I'm not sure why. I don't think I'll figure it out. I think that maybe the Lord gave me him just so I could figure out what it was like to have a companion on my mission that I won't get along with that well. Or maybe he just wanted to make me suffer. Haha just kidding Heavenly Father please don't strike me dumb.
Anyway so I got home and then I got ready to go to a dinner thing at a friend's house. And actually the people were the family I used to teach so I got to go and tell them about my new expirience... Which wasn't nearly as good as they're house. Their family is pretty amazing and I think my mom would agree. And since about 7th grade I've had this major crush on their daughter. My mom already knows this otherwise I wouldn't post it. Well I might anyway seeing as somehow my mom always knows who the girl is. Don't ask me how, in fact I would love for anyone to tell me how they telepathically seep into your mind and find exactly who I like. It's maddening! I don't know if all mom's can do it but I'm pretty sure. If you would like to let me in on the secret I would gladly like to know =) But till then I'm stuck trying to hide it.

How you spell Scouting and Priesthood: S-E-R-V-I-C-E
Then we had to make the actual information boards which was fun except we couldn't use the shiny nuts. They wouldn't fit the bolts so we had to use the... not so shiny nuts. Then we ran out of washers but we finally actually finished most of it and we are going to have to go back and finish attaching them at some point.
I thought it was a pretty good Eagle project actually my favorite project I've helped with. I also think it was a good workout because I swear my left shoulder gained like 5 lbs. of muscle just from mixing cement. But in the end it was awesome. Now we are just waiting on the local forest service to put the info. on the kiosks. I can't wait to see the end result. It's a great feeling, service. Probably one of the best feelings you can have.

Maybe the Dingo Ate' Chyo Baby!

This morning I went into my brother's room where Lulu sleeps and started playing around with her and waking up my brother because I was bored. And then I got this laser pointer out and Lulu absolutely loves that thing. If you have it, and it makes any noise when it's attached to it's carribeaner, Lulu's little ears will perk up. And then she just stares at you until you decide to give in to her puppy eyes.
So I pointed it into my brother's ear and on his forehead and at his butt and Lulu just attacked him. But then I got this awesome idea. I attached the laser pointer to Lulu's collar and put some ducktape around the button to keep it on. So she would just bite the ground and chase after it as it swayed back and forth. Finally she realized she couldn't get it so she just started whining and trying to bite it off. I was already rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. But then I finally gave in and took it off. I now have a new entertainment device though if I have to resort to it.
Sadly the laser pointer is dying though. All it's use in the airsoft fight and keeping Lulu occupied. I'll have to get replacement batteries but I'm too lazy right now.
Now Lulu is just kinda sitting down being quiet, she's really cute. Yes I'm a guy and I said something's cute. Did you also know I'm a major sucker for chik-flix. Yep, pretty crazy. But I also love AVP. I guess i like a bit of everything.
Dogs are truly man's best friend. Because we speak a totally different language so we can tell them anything. And because they are just so hilarious. I love them.
Airsoft
It was pretty sweet though. I got shot in the head once or twice, and now have a large bleeding welt where it hit. My brother got a pretty bad one on his arm and it is still there from last night. My and my bro didn't have the best artillary. We had machine guns which aren't nearly as painful as the pistols. But we could unload on them and they'd be begging for mercy in no time. So it was pretty fair.
So now we are looking forward to another airsoft war in the near future, probably not anytime in this month though because me and my brother had to be home by 11:30 because our mom wasn't feeling to great. Sorry mom but atleast we made it back on time! =D So I guess not in the near future but oh well.
Next year, I will make sure to have the annual airsoft war and I'll probably have a sniper by then. Or some crazy gun that can shoot long distances. Last night that was our main setback, is that we couldn't shoot halfway across the park. Except the pistols. Those are considered snipers when it comes to airsoft. So I'll just have to get 2 of them and just unload on them. We'll probably set up tents and stuff too though to we can have little bunkers all across the park. I also had a little laser pointer I attached to my gun so that would be pretty cool to scare people with. We could play Capture the Flag with our flags inside the main tent and then have to navigate our way across the field without getting caught! And if you got hit you would have to go to jail. Except boundaries might be a bit hard to control. I really don't know if any of that would work out but it's fun to think about it haha.
I think one of the funniest things about how it started was that, I had a few friends over to watch a movie. Then after the movie we went outside to play some catch, because we had no idea what else to do. And then my friend Dillon, threw the football into the pool and splashed some of the girls, so then they hid behind me and my friend Spencer. Then Dillon got us wet with the ball so I got the hose out and soaked Dillon. He was finally too wet that it didn't matter so he came and took the hose and I sprinted through the garage, inside, and got my airsoft came out and started shooting him then i jumped in the pool cuz he was going to spray me with the hose anyway so i thought why not? All the time the girls were just like, "WHAT IS GOING ON?!?" And so they called their mom to pick them up, and I felt kinda bad but I'm a guy and got over it. I talked to her later that night anyway on my phone and she said she had fun. So I was good. No worries. But anyway back to how it started. Dillon decided he was too worn out and went home too, so me and Spencer called some people and started the war.
If anyone has ever seen the movie the Sasquatch Gang... That's how I felt the night went. And if you haven't seen that movie. It's hilarious and you should rent it. It was made by the same people who made Napolean Dynamite so be prepared for some stupidity. But otherwise it's an awesome show. I think it's rated PG-13 but I'm not sure why. There's no swearing in it. No scenes that would make it seem PG-13. I don't know but they rated it that so nothing I can do about it.
If your ward's youth haven't started an annual airsoft fight tradition, well maybe it's a good thing they haven't maybe not, but I enjoyed it!

Guitar Hero (3)

I am currently working on how to learn to play the song in real life so my mom enjoys the, scratchy hardcore rocking out I do in the other room. My brother's favorite song is called "One", but he can't quite beat it. He's on hard difficulty so far but he's working his way to expert. My current favorite song might be "The Way it Ends" by Prototype. It's a pretty fun song but then I also like the song called "Impulse" but I'm not sure who plays it. And then I also have my classic overall favorite because it's just such a hard song and sounds so awesome, is the rock version of "We Three Kings".
Some people who I've talked to about guitar hero say that it's a disgrace to the real guitar... I just think they can't play it. We all have our excuses. Except stinking Asians. No I am not racist, I am merely amazed by the Asians ability to master any device with a circuit somewhere in it.
My friend Ryan is currently attaching a new room to his house where he has this huge 56'' Plasma Screen T.V. with his Xbox so he calls it the Halo T.V. Because that's his life over the summer. He goes to work, goes to the gym, and then comes home, eats, sleeps, and plays Halo. The perfect teenager life! My mom would probably beg to differ though. Besides summer doesn't last forever so make the best of it, right?
I'd have to say that Guitar Hero was an ingenius game. Probably one of the best ever created. Try it if you haven't, it can't hurt to try right? Just don't let anyone else convince you about that with drugs because well they aren't Guitar Hero. Don't do drugs.
What is right, and What is easy.
And then towards the end of the movie there's actually a quote that means something and I really liked it. Dumbledore said, "The time is come and we will have to choose between what is right, and what is easy."
Sometime towards the end of the school year, me and some friends started making quote-of-the-days. And we'd pick a new quote everyday. I remember one of the first ones was "You can't underestimate the importance of body language." -Ursala the evil sea-witch from The Little Mermaid, which we watched for seminary one morning for one of my friends, Rhianna's devotional. Actually I think that was the first so thanks to Rhianna me and my friends came up with quotes every day to live by or something.
But then the last full-day of school came and we decided we'd have a quote of the year. So we chose Dumbledore's. Well Actually Albus Percival Wolfric Bryan Dumbledore's. And so now I try and live by that quote everyday. It is my over-all favorite quote from a non-general authority =) Harry Potter I would have to say is one of the best books ever written and best movies ever made and it has great insight concealed in it. "The time is come and we will have to choose inbetween what is right, and what is easy."

Notice I only posted nine so thats not overrated... cuz I really don't like overrated stuff. Everyone with their metric system- but no I posted 9 of my favorite bands. So now I dont think my first blog is long enough. So I think I'll talk about my music. In a post from my mom awhile back I think right before the end of school I pulled an all-nighter (See the Pic) for an english project "supposedly" due the next day. Ends up it was due the next Wednesday and a whole different project was due that day. But my teacher let it go thank goodness. But in the project I had to compile 20 poems of mine and 5 of other artists. (Most of the other artists were songs by the bands I posted). He still has this poetry book of mine filled with all my music, so I have to go to school sometime over the summer and retrieve it. Over the summer. Not cool! And first I have to call him at his house and say "Hey I'm gonna come in and get my book real fast." And then he'll wanna talk or something cuz that's what they do they just keep talking and talking and talking. I think he should've been able to grade all of them in class and give them back. Ok so I might be a bit hard on him but still... why? But I don't mind all that much I guess. It shouldn't be too bad. If I'm not out within 15 minutes though it'd be great if you would come and pull me out. Maybe attach a rope around my waist and after I get it ill send you a signal and you can yank it. Ya sounds like a plan to me. I'll have to find someone to do it. But for now I'm just gonna ignore it. And enjoy my summer.
